Listening is connected with the polyvagal nerve (vagus nerve). What you hear and how you hear it influences how your body responds and signals your brain. A weak vagus nerve may be responsible for dysregulation. The human voice is meant to cue safety. When the voice changes, the body responds. The body's internal processing system, known as neuroception, detects signs of danger, safety, or life threat. SSP is an auditory program where specially filtered music trains the neural network associated with listening to focus on the human voice's frequency range.
Using a specially integrated music playlist to help prime the nervous system by exposing it to different frequencies that cue safety to the polyvagal nerve allows the vagus nerve to become stimulated, and the state of feeling calm and safe becomes accessible.
Dr. Stephen Porges
A progressively, dynamically filtered music program. The strongest and potentially the most therapeutic. It helps to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors.
Eight weeks after SSP Core, individuals can begin the balance program. This can be used at home to extend and integrate the gains from SSP. The same playlist as SSP CORE, but filtered differently with a lighter frequency modulation algorithm that does not progress dynamically. It can also be used as ongoing daily support for clients who need it; many find it calming and grounding.

As our brain and body connection becomes more organized and less stressed, we can better process the world around us and become more confident, happy, and engaged.
A practical application of the Polyvagal theory is designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through specially-filtered music.

Developed by world-renowned researcher and scientific advisor Dr. Stephen Porges SSP focuses on the impact of your behavior based on what is happening within your body and nervous system regarding a sense of safety, danger, or life threat. A simple and effective 5-hour Auditory Processing Program is broken down into segments over time. This can average up to 4 weeks of listening as directed for your individual SSP journey.
Suitable for children and adults, individuals with trauma, anxiety, sensory processing, and much more.
