Based on Florida homeschool law, your child must attend school starting in the school year that they turn 6 on or before Feb 1. They must remain in school until they turn 16 or until they graduate from high school. Prior to fulfilling your legal requirements for homeschooling, you may opt to begin teaching your child at any age. During the early years of neuronal growth and proliferation, a child's brain is the most neuroplastic. By age 3, a child's brain is about the size of an adult brain.
