During the early years of neuronal growth and proliferation, a child's brain is the most neuroplastic, meaning it is the most malleable and formative during these early years. By age 3, a child's brain is about the size of an adult brain. Promoting movement and hands-on experiences allows your child to continue to create new neural pathways that will scaffold their developing brain.
